Tait Arend is a senior advancement leader. He sits in the rooms where transformational gifts get decided, alongside chief advancement officers, presidents, and trustees evaluating the most consequential donor relationships an institution will hold. Benefactor Intelligence is the standard he wished existed when he was in the work.

Gabriel Beal brings two decades of product and program leadership to Benefactor Intelligence, most recently as a senior leader at TransUnion. He builds the operating standard: the cadences, frameworks, and quality gates that turn the editorial discipline of a Brief into a firm clients can rely on. A certified SAFe Agilist and an entrepreneurial builder who has shipped independent products concept-to-launch in days, he architects how Benefactor Intelligence works behind the scenes. The standard does not run without him.

Every deliverable passes eight tests before it ships.

The relationship matters more than the research.

    Confirmed fact is separated from interpretation. Where a claim is inferred, the inference is named. Each finding carries its source.

    Information is included only when it changes relationship strategy, risk, timing, or preparation. Volume is not the deliverable.

    The donor is written about in language that would hold up if the donor read the document. Words that turn generosity into extraction do not appear.

    Every meaningful finding helps the team decide what to do, who should act, or what to avoid. Insight without action does not ship.

    No speculation about health, marriage, family, or motive that is not sourced and directly relevant. The donor is never the data.
